When I started my business in 2012, I received just a handful of bookings over the first few years. I sat behind my desk waiting for enquiries, and only the occasional one came in.
At the time, I was in a full-time corporate job, travelling all over the world but feeling deeply unfulfilled. I wanted out of the rat race. I wanted my Celebrant business to be my full-time work.

I loved officiating and creative writing, and I couldn’t see why I shouldn’t do more of it. Eventually, I left my corporate job for good.
