Dunston Hall is a country house in the Derbyshire countryside, all green fields and calm, with indoor and outdoor space for us to work in. That mix gives your wedding and funeral photos real variety and a genuine setting, and it's a straightforward run off the M1 at Junction 29.

Meet your hosts

Penny and Helen are the celebrants who run The Hive, the community inside The Celebrant Guild, and they'll be with you the whole day. Expect a warm welcome and two people firmly in your corner, so even if cameras usually make you freeze, you're in good hands from the moment you arrive.

You'll come away with a proper working library of yourself: polished headshots, natural lifestyle shots, you leading a ceremony, you writing and preparing, and the close detail shots that fill out your website and socials. Every image is yours to use, so your marketing finally shows the real you at work.

Why We Created The Celebrant Brand Shoot Day

You already know how to hold a room and carry a family through the hardest day of their year. You write ceremonies that sound like the person they are for. The day runs as two sessions. The morning is a funeral shoot, with coffins, ashes urns and a dressed set. The afternoon is a wedding shoot, with a model couple, backdrops and styling. Book the full day for both, with a light lunch in between.

I hate having my photo taken. Is this really for me?

Almost everyone says that, and almost everyone is surprised by the end of the day. The photographer directs you the whole way, so you are never left wondering what to do with your hands. Most people relax within the first ten minutes, helped by a room full of celebrants in exactly the same boat.

What do I wear?

Bring a few options that reflect how you show up for clients, including something you would genuinely wear to lead a wedding and an outfit for a funeral. We will send a full what-to-wear guide once you have booked. There is no expectation of black, and there is a private space to change between sessions.

What if I'm newly qualified and haven't led many ceremonies yet?

This is built for exactly that. It is how you get professional images of yourself at work before your calendar fills up, so your marketing looks established from day one.

Can I really use the photos commercially?

Do I need to bring props or set anything up?

The sets, florals and ceremony details are all provided and styled for you. If you have something personal to you such as your writing pad, laptop, phone or folders then do bring that along.

What's the refund policy?

Places are non-refundable, as your spot and the day's costs are reserved for you.
